NEW Product Sneak Peek #1: Free As A Bird Card

Hello friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! I just returned from Chicago and am happy to be home to see my boys'. Have you ever been to Chicago? It's probably one of my favourite City's to visit! So much to do and so fun! I'll be going back in a couple of weeks so I can't wait!

But onto today's card! I am bringing you a first look at brand new product from Stampin' Up!'s annual catalogue coming in June! This set is by far my favourite so far; it's feminine, soft, and oh so pretty.

Introducing the Free As A Bird Stamp Set!

Now this is really just a true sneak peek, but aren't these little birds just darling? To make this card I combined some of my favourites such as the Well Written Bundle and the Be Mine Stitched Framelit Dies.

I'm so happy that both bundles mentioned above are carrying over to the new catalogue!

You may also notice that I using the Stitched Shape Framelit Dies and the Layering Circle Framelits as well. I just love the extra detail that both of these dies can add.

The Layering Circle Framelit piece is actually in one of our brand new In Colours for 2019 - 2021, which is Rococo Rose. It is a lovely soft pink colour, which is great since my beloved Powder Pink in retiring as of the end of this month!

Here is a closer look at the card details:

The flowers are the card are also part of the Free As A Bird Stamp Set and I did a little fussy cutting.

TIP: To make them easier to shape, cut a little slit in-between the flower petals. This will make the flowers easier to shape when you adhere them to your card.

In this case I adhered them using Glue Dots and added a little Wink of Stella for some shimmer.

Card Details:

  • The Free As A Bird Stamp Set comes in a bundle with some beautiful Stitched Dies, and is part of an overall stunning product Suite called Bird Ballad. This Suite includes the Free As A Bird Stamp Set, Stitched Label Dies, Designer Series Paper, Ribbon, Laser Cut Cards and a coordinating Tin, and beautiful Trinket Embellishments. Full sneak peeks are coming soon!

  • The Crumb Cake bottom layer 5" x 3-3/4" and is embossed using the Subtle Dynamic Impressions Textured Embossing Folder.

  • I double layered the die cut 'happy' sentiment for extra height. This also makes the cut out a bit ore sturdy.

  • Use Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets when die cutting your hearts and leaves. These sheets are retiring, so be sure to get yourself a couple of packs before they run out!

  • I used the Bermuda Bay Stampin' Blends to colour the birds. Be sure to use your colour lifter to create a bit of highlight on their little chests.

  • For the flowers, I used the Light Powder Pink and Light Lovely Lipstick Stampin' Blends.

I just love this card and set and hope you do too! I have more sample that I'll post soon so be sure to pop back for more.
