Happy Thursday, friends! It's time for another OSAT Blog Hop! I can't believe we are into November already, but I am happy that it's one step closer to Christmas season! I've already begun my Christmas prep and shopping, have you?!
November also means we're one step closer to Winter and with our first snowfall in the forecast today, I guess its the perfect day for our blog hop theme of Winter Festival! So with that, I pulled out my beloved Feels Like Frost DSP for today's project and card.
This designer series paper does most of the work for this card which makes for quick and easy cards, but I also love how gorgeous it is! I've added a simple border using Night of Navy Cardstock around the DSP, a little bit of Silver Glimmer Paper, and some white embossing for for the sentiment. The Silver Glimmer strip was cut using one of the dies from the Stitched Be Mine Dies.
This is one that can be massed produced quite easily, but also one that will make a big impact on those that receive it! The sentiment is from the From Our House to Yours Stamp Set, but all products used in today's projects will be linked below at the end of this blog post.
Now I don't know about you, but when I think Winter and the season that surrounds it, I envision the sights of family and friends. We often gather inside where it's nice and warm and enjoy each others company while the kids play, while often sipping on some hot chocolate. Since it's a time of giving, I also try to bring a little something with me in terms of small hosts gifts, so I thought I would make up some cute Hot Chocolate Holders for my host gifts this year.
I envision these cards and hot chocolate holders as a set and think they look beautiful together. I used the same Feels Like Frost DSP with Night of Navy Cardstock, but pulled out some snowflake and my Layering Circle Dies for extra added detail. The Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon then finishes it off nicely.
Here are the Hot Chocolate Holder Measurements:
Whisper White Base: 4-1/4" x 11", scored at 1-1/4" and 5.5"
Night of Navy Cardstock: 4" x 3.5" and 4-1/4" x 1-1/8"
Feels Like Frost DSP: 3-3/4" x 3" and 1" x 4-1/4" and 4" x 7/8"
The holder itself is not adhered shut, but rather held together using the ribbon. The only pieces that are adhered are the Night of Navy Cardstock and the Feels Like Frost DSP. The front flap is also folded down and adhered using Tear and Tape Adhesive.
Isn't this jut so pretty? A perfect hostess gift (or even craft fair item). You will find all products listed below just in case you need any of the supplies used in these projects.
