OSAT Blog Hop | Where the Wild Things Grow

Hello there! Welcome to the Sweet Paper Studios blog! It's another month of the One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop! This months theme is all about flowers and plants! I haven't had a chance to pull out my Sweet Strawberry Bundle yet, so I thought this theme would be the perfect opportunity to do so.

For this month's hop, I made a cute gift set with a card and Post-It Note Holder. I also added in a bit of the Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper, which you can earn for free during Sale-A-Bration until February 28th. Here's a look at the projects:

I'm actually on my second pack of this fun Designer Series Paper; it's just so delightful and I can't resist! I just love it so much!

For the card I used a Pacific Point card base and did a little embossing with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. I also used the Stitched Rectangle Dies to die cut the Designer Series Paper and pulled out the Layering Circle Dies for the sentiment. And those super sweet strawberries were easily punched out with the Strawberry Builder Punch. How cute are they?

Tips, Tricks, and Card Measurements:

  • Real Red Card Base: 8.5" x 5.5"

  • Basic White Embossed Layer: 5-1/4" x 4"

  • The patterned paper die cut using the Stitched Rectangle Dies.

  • The sentiment is die cut using Layering Circle Dies.

  • Sentiment colour is Pacific Point.

  • The strawberry colour Real Red and the seeds were coloured using the Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker.

  • The ribbon is from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack.

For the Post-It Note Holder, I used the same coordinating products and even added a matching Stampin' Up! pen that I received from one of our conventions. It's just a super cute gift!

Tips, Tricks, and Measurements:

Pacific Point Cardstock:

  • 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”, scored parallel to short end at 2-1/4” and 2-3/4” and scored parallel to long end on each side at 3/8″ and 7/8″

  • 7/8″ x 4-1/4″ scored parallel to short end at 1/2″ and 1″

  • 3-3/4″ x 8-1/4″ scored parallel to short end at 1/2″, 1-1/2″ and 2-1/2″

  • Scrap piece for sentiment and die cutting.

Whisper White Cardstock:

  • 3-5/8" x 4-1/8"

  • 3-5/8" x 2-1/8"

  • Scrap pieces for stamping and die cutting.

Berry Delightful Designer Paper:

  • 3-1/2″ x 4″

  • 3-1/2″ x 2″

I used Garden Green Ink for the leaves and fussy cut their stamped floral image.
