Simple Watercolour Wash With Forever Fern Stamp Set

Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone is staying well and safe! Hamilton is currently going through a heat wave right now so I am more than happy to stay indoors this week!

Today's post is another Forever Fern project (I know, but I just can't help myself!). This card is a bit different though, in that although the Forever Greenery Suite includes a lot of elements, it is versatile enough to create pretty and simple projects like I have done today.

Colours used include Balmy Blue, Basic Black and Whisper White.

Using the Balmy Blue Ink and an Aqua Painter on some Watercolour Paper, I did a simple watercolour wash background and then used the Forever Flourishing Dies to die cut an element in Basic Black Cardstock, and then did some heat embossing for the 'Hello' sentiment.

I love the simple look of this even though it does involve a few different techniques (die cutting, watercolour wash, and heat embossing).

Measurements:

  • Basic Black Card Base: 5-1⁄2” x 8-1⁄2” - scored and folded to 4-1⁄4” x 5-1⁄2”

  • Balmy Blue Cardstock: 4-1/2" x 3-1/8"

  • Watercolour Paper, die cut with Stitched Rectangle Dies: 4-3/8" x 3"

I really hope you love this suite as much as I do! The full Suite is available in my Canadian Online Stampin' Up! Shop starting June 3! Be sure to sign up for my newsletter as I get set to send out reminders, classes, and specials!
