Hello and thanks for stopping by today!
Today's card reminds me of warm summer days driving up to the cottage through nothing but farm country. Animal farms, mustard farms (yes, this is a thing!), and sunflowers farms, which is where the inspiration for this card came from.
Today I am also participating in the Global Design Project's theme challenge. Click HERE to visit now.
When we drive up to the cottage and past the sunflower farms, there are always people pulled up on the side of the road taking pictures. Who would blame them? Sunflowers are tall, bright, and gorgeous. Seeing hundreds of them together is really something special.
That is why I love the Painted Harvest Stamp Set. It's versatile for so many different things and can be used in many different ways! One thing I did a little bit different when stamping the image is that after I inked the stamp, I sprayed a little water directly onto the stamp before I stamped the image on my Watercolour Paper so I could get more of a watercolour image. I think this technique worked beautifully to showcase the sunflowers, don't you think?
Isn't this a beauty? I love that it's a two-step stamp, which means I can use a combination of various colours to create a sunflower or even a wreath! For this card in particular, I used Pumpkin Pie Ink and Daffodil Delight Ink.
The sentiment is on a Stiched Shape Frameit Die (my favourite die set) and is stamped in Early Espresso Ink. You can find a full list of supplies below.
I really hope you loved today's card. Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you come back to visit often!
